When you need care from a medical specialist, you don’t want to travel two hours away, if you can help it. Columbus Community Hospital’s Visiting Physicians Clinic brings expert specialists from other cities right to your doorstep. So, for example, instead of having to take your child out of school for an entire day to see an epilepsy specialist, they only have to miss an hour or two. And you get to stay in your community instead of fighting traffic in a big city.
Each of the doctors in our Visiting Physicians Clinic works at a different clinic, but travels to Columbus, Nebraska, once or twice a month to see patients. These doctors hold clinics at the Healthpark Medical Office Building, which is adjacent to Columbus Community Hospital.

The care you need, close to home
Columbus, Nebraska, is a rural community in eastern Nebraska. But Columbus Community Hospital has found a solution that has turned out to be a perfect fit for us: We work with specialty groups from other cities to offer medical services in Columbus a few times each month.
The Visiting Physicians Clinic has been a huge success in Columbus, with more than 50 doctors in nearly 20 different specialties sharing clinic space on a rotating basis. You can easily find the care you need at just one location — and if you require more specialized equipment or surgical procedures, your doctor can connect you to their practice in another city.
